I’ve heard the advice that you should only show the kind of work you want more of. But for me, it’s just as important to show the full journey. This portfolio includes the polished client work, the experimental projects, and the pieces that pushed me to grow. Every part of it has shaped who I am as a designer.

Identity Design for Education

Faculty Follies is an annual opportunity for teachers to either show how talented they are, or fail miserably on stage singing 25 or 6 to 4 because they couldn't hear themselves from Chicago, through the monitor and thought they were singing on key until they actually watched their cringy performance on YouTube the next day... but I digress. The POINT is that this show helps to raise scholarship funds for our students which is why I, ... they are willing to lose face for a night. (I'm ok, really.) Anywho... I came up with this new logo for the show, and wanted to share. For the design style, I wanted to lean more toward the look of professional stage show signage. The text above and below are slogans used at EDHS. The lower one is derived from our saying "Spirit Never Sleeps".
